TUPELO, Miss. — After California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a law allowing schools to hide a child’s request to change their gender from their parents, CEO of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk announced that he is moving his SpaceX and X businesses out of California and into Texas. Musk stated, “This is the final straw. Because of this law and the many others that preceded it, attacking both families and companies, SpaceX will now move its HQ from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas.” The new law overturned local school policies that were created to “treat parents as allies when their students are suffering from gender dysphoria.”
Walker Wildmon, CEO of AFA Action, the governmental affairs affiliate of the American Family Association, commends Musk for the decision to pull his businesses from the state. This move sends a clear and powerful message: Americans are fed up with the relentless indoctrination happening in our public schools.
“Elon Musk’s decision to pull X and SpaceX out of California is a bold and necessary response to Governor Newsom’s latest attack on parental rights,” says Wildmon. “This new law, which forces schools to deceive parents about their children’s perceived gender identity, is an outrageous overreach that undermines the rights of parents across the state. Musk’s move to Texas sends a clear message: people and businesses are fed up with left-wing state governments that put children and families at risk. California’s leaders must wake up and stop pushing an anti-family agenda. This is a wake-up call for all states to stand up and protect parental rights and family integrity.”
