‘Vulgar,’ ‘profane’ and ‘indecent’ books found in Texas public school libraries

TUPELO, Miss. — Bonnie Wallace, a mother of Texas’ Llano County Library School Advisory Board, has turned to the state’s legislature after discovering inappropriate books in public school libraries. A book titled “Gender Queer” — containing graphic descriptions of sex and information on gender identity and sexual preference — along with books “containing QR codes that link to online sex shops, Planned Parenthood, and a website called ‘F***ing Trans Women’” were all found in Texas public school libraries. One of the several bills that Bonnie Wallace proposed was a bill prohibiting public school libraries from carrying books that have been banned in Texas prisons.

Walker Wildmon, CEO of AFA Action, the governmental affairs affiliate of the American Family Association is pushing for parents and lawmakers to stop this indoctrination of America’s children before it is too late.

“If a book is too obscene for a prison, it has no place in a school library,” said Wildmon. “Yet, schools are feeding kids a steady diet of porn, gender confusion and self-harm glorification — all funded by taxpayers — through explicit books, online databases and even school encyclopedias. These books and resources don’t stop at introducing kids to explicit content; they falsely romanticize and push them toward cutting, suicide and harmful sexual ideologies designed to break them. Just like Big Tobacco, the porn industry and leftist activists know addiction and manipulation start young, and they’re using schools as their grooming ground. This must end. Parents must demand accountability, schools must cut off this poison and lawmakers must take action before more children are led down a path of destruction.”
