TUPELO, Miss. — As Donald Trump begins his second presidential term, his administration has been committed to bringing America back to its roots. One step the administration took was to adopt a new policy blocking U.S. embassies and outposts from flying Pride and Black Lives Matter flags. Enacted immediately, this policy states that “only the United States of America flag is authorized to be flown or displayed at U.S. facilities, both domestic and abroad, and featured in U.S. government content.” Exceptions to this policy are the Wrongful Detainees Flag and Prisoner of War/Missing in Action (POW/MIA) emblem.
Walker Wildmon, CEO of AFA Action, the governmental affairs affiliate of the American Family Association applauds President Trump for implementing this policy and rebuking the woke agendas from the previous administration.
“Under the Trump administration, the State Department’s new ‘One Flag Policy’ is a decisive move to ensure that U.S. embassies represent our nation as a whole, not specific political movements or woke ideologies,” says Wildmon. “The American flag stands for justice, liberty and opportunity — principles that unite us all. Flying divisive flags like the LGBTQ+ Pride and BLM undermines that unity and pushes agendas contrary to America’s founding values. We applaud this policy for rejecting woke activism and refocusing on what truly matters: representing a nation rooted in faith and freedom. We are proud that the American flag will now be the sole banner flown over our embassies.”
