TUPELO, Miss. — AFA Action, the governmental affairs affiliate of the American Family Association (AFA) is calling on the Trump administration and the new Congress to implement 10 game-changing policies that will help America get back on track. The ideas range from ending the Obamacare Medicaid expansion for states to prohibiting DEI and disparate impact policies for all federal contractors and subcontractors.
The 10 recommended policies are as follows:

1. End DEI, “disparate impact,” and other racist hiring policies.
2. Withdraw from the United Nations and the World Health Organization.
3. Protect parental rights in health care.
4. End the marriage penalty for welfare.
5. Restore pro-life protections.
6. End Obamacare Medicaid expansion.
7. Restore strong welfare-to-work requirements.
8. Stop illegal aliens from receiving welfare and other government aid programs.
9. Maximize religious freedom and freedom of speech.
10. Eliminate OSHA.
“Establishment Republicans just want to renew the Trump tax cuts, keep taxpayer money flowing to the military-industrial complex, and keep the globalist corporations happy,” said AFA Director of Policy and Legislative Affairs, Dr. Jameson Taylor. “But that’s not what voters want. They want big wins, and big wins require specific policy goals.
“Conservatives, especially Christians, need to be proactive and engaged,” said Taylor. “The Trump administration, for example, shouldn’t just reverse the Democrats’ illegal Title IX rewrite, they should require that K-12 schools and universities that accept federal funds protect women’s sports and private spaces. Congress shouldn’t just let Obamacare destroy American health care, they should amend it to end the optional Medicaid expansion being weaponized against red states.
“The U.S. House and Senate are responsible for implementing Trump’s mandate,” said Taylor. “Voters need to hold them accountable by taking five minutes a week to call or email their lawmakers and requiring them to pass concrete, practical policy reforms. For example, amending HIPAA to guarantee that parents in every state have access to their children’s medical records. For example, ending welfare policies that discourage marriage and keep families poor. For example, downsizing the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and giving power back to the states to promote workplace safety.
“We can’t expect Trump to do it all through federal rulemaking,” concluded Taylor. “That’s not how our constitution works. Congress also needs to do more than pursue marginal victories through the budget reconciliation process. They need to pass game-changing and important bills. That’s what Democrats do when they get power. It’s time for Republicans to deliver.
“It all comes down to leadership. Voters should give U.S. House and Senate leadership 100 days. If Republicans can’t actually pass legislation, voters must demand new leadership immediately.”
