TUPELO, Miss. — In his first week as president, Donald Trump proceeded to implement three pro-life policies, reversing the pro-abortion policies of the Biden administration. The first policy repeals the presidential memorandum of the Mexico City Policy, which gave taxpayer funds to organizations that provide abortion, and prohibits this action through the establishment of the Hyde Amendment. Rejoining the Geneva Consensus Declaration, President Trump’s second policy, emphasizes that “there is no international right to abortion.” Lastly, the Trump administration released a memo last Friday, promising to scale back enforcement of the FACE Act.
With these policies and President Trump’s commitment to the pro-life movement, Walker Wildmon, CEO of AFA Action, the governmental affairs affiliate of the American Family Association, is hopeful this new administration will stand for America’s biblical foundations and continue to protect life at every age and stage.
“President Trump has wasted no time in proving his commitment to protecting the unborn, taking decisive action in his first week to undo the Biden administration’s radical abortion agenda,” said Wildmon. “These bold steps send a clear message: America will no longer bankroll the abortion industry, embrace child sacrifice on the altar of convenience, or allow the federal government to target pro-life advocates while ignoring the violence of pro-abortion extremists. This is what real leadership looks like — standing for life, defending the most vulnerable, and refusing to let the left’s culture of death go unchallenged. But make no mistake, the fight isn’t over. Now is the time to push even harder to protect life at every level, and we must not back down.”
