TUPELO, Miss. — U.S. District Judge Kenneth M. Karas of New York recently ruled in favor of the pro-life movement, after allowing a pro-life group — Red Rose Rescue — to engage in counseling or protest within 15 feet of an abortion clinic. Judge Karas’ decision rejects a prior appeal by New York Attorney General Letitia James to ban members of Red Rose Rescue from coming within 30 of any abortion clinic.
Walker Wildmon, CEO of AFA Action, the governmental affairs affiliate of the American Family Association, is confident that this victory for the pro-life movement is just one of many that will continue to shut down those who do not stand for life.
“This is what the abortion industry fears most — women being offered real hope and real choices,” says Wildmon. “The Left preaches ‘choice’ while doing everything in its power to ensure women hear only one option — abortion. They hide behind ‘buffer zones’ and bans because they know that when women hear the truth, many choose life. That’s why they will stop at nothing to keep pro-life counselors away from vulnerable mothers. But no court order, no government official and no radical pro-abortion agenda will silence those who stand for life; we will keep standing, keep speaking and keep fighting for the unborn until every life is protected. This victory is proof that the truth will not be shut down.”
