A Freedom of Information Act request has revealed an Illinois school board president recently accused “white parents” of stirring controversery against racial progress in a presentation at a “White Privilege Conference.” The school board president at a Chicago high school claimed the majority of people don’t accept racial change, while stating, “proposals for structure and policy changes towards dismantling what has been in place for decades are not often met with universal approval.”
Walker Wildmon, CEO of AFA Action, the governmental affairs affiliate of the American Family Association commented on this shocking incident, stating that this is just the latest attack on parents stemming from a race-obsessed agenda permeating our nations schools.
“This attack on parents by an Illinois school board president at a so-called ‘White Privilege Conference’ is yet another example of the divisive, race-obsessed agenda being forced into our schools,” Wildmon stated. “Instead of uniting communities by teaching human dignity, this presentation drives a wedge between parents and educators, undermining real solutions to improve education for all students. This is Exhibit A as to how Critical Race Theory (CRT) can have a destructive effect on our society and this is just one example of many. It’s time to reject Marxist initiatives that vilify one group based on ethnicity and false ideologies and instead promote unity and truth.”
It is because of examples like these that iVoterGuide, a division of AFA Action, is covering school board races in key areas across the nation and provides in-depth research on dozens of candidates. iVoterGuide’s goal is to equip faith-based voters to know the truth about not only candidates but also important ballot measures so they can be good stewards of their citizenship.
