TUPELO, Miss. — In her recent interview with NBC’s Hallie Jackson, Kamala Harris said she would not make any concessions to republican lawmakers on abortion legislation she would pursue as president, including those with religious exemptions. “Let’s start with the fundamental fact. A basic freedom has been taken from the women of America, the freedom to make decisions about their own body,” Harris said. “And that cannot be negotiable, which is that we need to put back in the protections of Roe v. Wade, and that is it.”
Walker Wildmon, CEO of AFA Action, the governmental affairs affiliate of the American Family Association, responded to Harris’ statement and encouraged voters to fight back against such a dark agenda.
“Vice President Kamala Harris admitted that she is opposed to even religious exemptions regarding abortion and faith-based hospitals and doctors with religious objections,” says Wildmon. “Harris’ push to codify Roe v. Wade into law is nothing short of a full endorsement of unrestricted abortion — murdering the unborn without any regard for the baby or the conscience or faith of physicians. Her stance makes it clear that she values the so-called ‘freedom’ to kill over the right to life and religious liberty. This isn’t about healthcare; it’s about advancing a dark agenda that prioritizes death over life. Voters must stand against this attack on the most innocent and defend the sanctity of life at all costs.”
