TUPELO, Miss. — A growing wave of Netflix subscribers is canceling their subscriptions after finding out the streaming platform has been pushing pro-transgender ideologies in a variety of children’s content. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has joined the boycott, writing, “Cancel Netflix for the health of your kids.” Among the Netflix programming is “Strawberry Shortcake and the Beast of Berry Bog,” depicting a boy cross-dressing as a girl to “express” himself.
Walker Wildmon, CEO of AFA Action, the governmental affairs affiliate of the American Family Association, stands in support of parents and guardians who are turning their children away from the pro-trans agenda.
“Parents shouldn’t need Elon Musk to tell them Netflix has become a platform for grooming children,” said Wildmon. “When boys in cartoons are cross-dressing to ‘express themselves’ and hospital staff on children’s shows are being shamed for acknowledging biological reality, they are indoctrinating — not entertaining. Every dollar spent on platforms pushing this dangerous ideology tells Hollywood that our kids are fair game. AFA Action stands with parents who are drawing the line. If corporations insist on warring against childhood innocence, they shouldn’t be shocked when families cancel their subscriptions instead of their values.”
