TUPELO, Miss. — One of the most polarizing issues on the ballot in several states this November is the topic of the sanctity of life. While the Democratic party seeks to legalize abortion on a mass scale, the Republican party (on the whole) works to protect the lives of the unborn. Not only will abortion be a deciding factor in choosing who to vote for, but ten states will have abortion-related amendments directly on the ballot. Voters in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New York, Nevada and South Dakota will have the opportunity to halt pro-abortion policies, saving millions of children in the process.
Walker Wildmon, CEO of AFA Action, the governmental affairs affiliate of the American Family Association, is urging Christians in these select states to flood the voting booths and be a champion for the unborn. “Life begins at conception, and we must protect it,” said Wildmon. “This is about more than just politics — it’s about preserving the sanctity of life. These policies are looking to enshrine evil into the American government — some seek to establish abortion as a ‘fundamental right’ while others look to specify what trimester makes the murder of innocent children ‘acceptable.’ Voters must stand against these abortion initiatives while there is still a chance to make a change.”
