AFA Action mobilized over 23,000 activists to support Sen. Rick Scott for Senate Majority Leader

TUPELO, Miss. — Over the last week, AFA Action, the governmental affairs affiliate of the American Family Association (AFA), mobilized over 23,000 activists to contact their Senators in support of Sen. Rick Scott (FL) for Senate Majority Leader.
“We are proud to see that Sen. Scott (FL) garnered over a dozen votes during Wednesday’s Senate Majority Leader election,” said Walker Wildmon, CEO of AFA Action, the governmental affairs affiliate of the American Family Association.
“Moving forward, AFA Action and AFA will work with Senate Republican Leadership and the conservative wing of the Senate to advance President Trump’s agenda. As President-elect Trump has previously stated, the only way the president can successfully appoint and staff the executive branch in short order is if the newly elected Senate Majority Leader John Thune (SD) allows recess appointments as permitted under Article II, Section 2, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution. This is a must if we desire for President Trump’s agenda to have a chance at success.”
