TUPELO, Miss. — According to a recent statement from White House spokesperson Kush Desai, the Trump administration is extending another year of Title X funding to Planned Parenthood. Desai shared that the grants “were locked in place during the Biden presidency” and the administration “faced significant legal challenges in stopping any of these dollars from going out.” While this funding contradicts the president’s stance on the sanctity of life, his administration is said to continue to prioritize his pro-life and pro-family agenda moving forward and realign the Title X program.
Walker Wildmon, CEO of AFA Action, the governmental affairs affiliate of the American Family Association, is calling on the president and his administration to halt Planned Parenthood funding now.
“The American people expect pro-life leadership to ensure their tax dollars are not connected to abortion providers, meaning there is no acceptable pathway for taxpayer dollars to reach Planned Parenthood,” Wildmon said. “Whether these funds were initiated under a previous administration is a moot point; they should have been permanently stopped. Pro-life policy means closing every door to the funding of killing babies, not leaving one open because it’s complicated. The expectation is clear: end it, fix it and make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
