The gaming platform Roblox has become a breeding ground for predators. And now – finally – someone is doing something about it.
I recently spoke with Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill about her bold new lawsuit against Roblox. The details are shocking: adult strangers interacting with children in simulated “bedroom” scenes, public bathroom roleplay, and even orgies with naked avatars. One so-called game even recreated the assassination of Charlie Kirk just days after the tragedy occurred.
This is in no way a safe place for children – and it is no longer a game.
AG Murrill is asking the courts to hold Roblox accountable for false advertising and dangerous negligence. Despite claiming that “safety is in their DNA,” Roblox offers wide-open access for predators, minimal reporting to child protection authorities, and virtually no meaningful age verification. Why? Because sixty percent of their users are under age 16, and enforcing real protections would cut into their profits.
“If they claim they can’t fix it, then what they have is an inherently dangerous product for children. And children shouldn’t be allowed on it.” – AG Liz Murrill
She’s right. We don’t need more excuses. We need action.
It’s time to stop pretending Big Tech doesn’t have the tools to verify age or prevent exploitation. These are billion-dollar platforms with AI bots and global infrastructure. But they won’t lift a finger to protect your kids – unless we force them to.
It’s not enough to warn parents, we need leaders who are willing to act. Pray for AG Murrill and others who are taking a stand.
