On a recent episode of At the Core, we highlighted something that should get every American’s attention.

In the 1990s, leading Democrats openly warned about illegal immigration – the abuse of government programs, the cost to taxpayers, and policies that incentivize people to enter the country unlawfully. That’s not speculation. That’s on record.

But today, we have Democrats defending the very system they once warned against. So, what changed?

The facts didn’t. The outcomes didn’t. The ideology did.

 

And when a party shifts that dramatically on something as foundational as the rule of law, it has real consequences for our country. These Democrat policies have dangerous consequences. And it is something that every American needs to be clear-eyed about.
