I recently discussed on X Spaces how the Biden administration has turned the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE Act) into a weapon against pro-life advocates. Originally intended to ensure access to reproductive health services, the FACE Act is now being used to prosecute individuals like Coleman Boyd – father of 13, ER physician, pastor – and Chett Gallagher, a former police officer and passionate advocate for life.

These prosecutions have a clear motive; Biden set up a task force within the DOJ and the FBI, and their one job was to lock up as many pro-lifers as they could after the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

The stakes are high. For Boyd, being convicted of charges under the FACE Act meant profound personal and professional consequences. From forfeiting his firearms and being forced to cease overseas mission work (due to his status as a convicted felon) to the threat of losing his medical license, Boyd’s story is a stark reminder of how these legal battles extend far beyond the courtroom, disrupting every facet of life.

In our discussion, Gallagher added a historical perspective, comparing these actions to past civil rights struggles. He defended his and other pro-lifers’ actions as biblical obedience.

We cannot stand idly by while baby murderers are hailed as “heroes of women’s health,” and pro-life individuals are targeted for prosecution based on their deeply held convictions to protect all life.

Repealing the FACE Act is imperative, and advocacy is a practical first step that we can all take. President Trump also needs to pardon all of the pro-lifers who have faced convictions under the FACE Act. Such measures are essential for restoring justice and ensuring that foundational freedoms are not eroded further.
