Your calls and emails are working! A few weeks ago, many of you contacted Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann and asked him to pass legislation that protects children from pornography. As a result, the Lt. Gov. supported adding language to another bill that requires library database vendors to remove material that is obscene and harmful to children.
But the porn peddlers are pushing back. The American Library Association, which has a self-proclaimed Marxist as its president, is also spreading lies. And the corporate fat cats profiting from porn don’t want their contracts cut off.
We need your calls and emails today to ask Mississippi lawmakers to pass a strong law to remove harmful and pornographic content from library databases. This battle is about parents and kids vs. porn peddlers.
Parents, grandparents and Christians in Mississippi need to make their voices heard to protect our kids.
Please call and email Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann and ask him to clean up Mississippi library databases.
Please also contact your Mississippi lawmakers and ask them to remove the filth from the Magnolia/EBSCO Library database.
If you haven’t heard about Magnolia/EBSCO, it’s a library research service Mississippi students are told to use in order to do their homework. It’s available in every public school in Mississippi. It’s also available to every child with a library card, even homeschoolers and private schoolers.
The database is supposed to be kid friendly, but it’s not. Through the Magnolia Library database, kids can learn all about sex or how to use a transgender dating app.
The Mississippi Legislature has been working on two bills that force these corporate database vendors to properly filter and curate their content. These are House Bill 1315 and Senate Bill 2346. The final language is still being worked out –– and the corporate and Marxist interests are trying hard to weaken and kill the bills.
We need your help to tell Mississippi legislators to put STRONG language in HB 1315/SB 2346 to clean up library databases.
Please contact your Mississippi lawmakers today.
The Left is using databases like EBSCO to target kids … to expose kids to sexualized materials –– but also content that encourages drug use and gambling.
Parents around the country are fighting back. Neighboring Tennessee has passed legislation requiring these database vendors to do their job of removing inappropriate, harmful content. So have Idaho, Oklahoma, and Utah. School districts in other states are canceling their contracts with these vendors.
With your help today, we can force corporations like EBSCO to stop targeting Mississippi kids.
Please call and email Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann and ask him to clean up Mississippi library databases.
Please also contact your Mississippi senator and Mississippi House member and ask him/her to support strong language to hold corporate database vendors accountable using a three-strikes-you’re-out process.
