Tell Your Senators to Shut Down Impeachment Trial

Tuesday, January 26, 2021 1:48 PM

U.S. House Democrats led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi delivered an article of impeachment to the Senate, where Democrats and some Republicans are set to launch an unconstitutional trial of former President Donald J. Trump.

Contact your senators nowUrge them to reject any call for an impeachment trial and refuse to participate in Nancy Pelosi's ruse.

Only a current, sitting president can be constitutionally impeached and tried. The U.S. Constitution, Article 2 Section 4, states: "The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."

Although Speaker Pelosi and members of Congress impeached President Trump on January 14, when Mr. Trump was still president, House leadership delivered their article of impeachment to the Senate on January 25, which was five days after Donald Trump left the White House.

It's past time for the Senate to shut down and refuse to participate in this sham orchestrated by Nancy Pelosi.
This nonsense can end with your senators taking the high road.
Contact your senators today. Tell them to shut down the impeachment trial before it even begins.
