Values Voter Summit was created in 2006 to provide a forum to help inform and mobilize citizens across America to preserve the bedrock values of traditional marriage, religious liberty, sanctity of life and limited government that make our nation strong. It has drawn over 3,000 plus attendees from around the nation and foreign countries. Garnering national and international media attention, Sean Hannity called it "the premier conservative event now in the country."
People attend the summit because they want to meet and assemble with other like-minded citizens who also want to make a positive change in America. The purpose of the summit is to help inform and mobilize citizens across America to preserve the bedrock values of traditional marriage, religious liberty, sanctity of life and limited government – the values that make our nation strong.
AFA executive vice president Ed Vitagliano will address a plenary session focusing on how progressives set out to completely alter our republic at the start of the 20th century. He will explain how foundational ideas like natural law, rights granted by God, and restricted government power were all tossed aside – and what can be done about it.
“We’re excited to host Judge Roy Moore to speak at an AFA luncheon,” Chambers said. Judge Moore served as Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, and he has been twice suspended – in 2003 and 2013 – from that position by a judicial panel, the first time for refusing to remove a Ten Commandments monument he had installed in the rotunda of the Alabama Judicial Building.
“Judge Moore is a strong defender of religious liberty and the sanctity of marriage, and he has vehemently opposed federal government overreach,” added Chambers. (Tickets for the luncheon may be purchased at registration.)
Emmett McGroarty of American Principles Project and Debbie Wuthnow of iVoterGuide will join Chambers in a panel discussion titled “Draining the Swamp.” The discussion will cover highlight three ways to help meet that goal: identifying which elected officials and special interests are obstructing a conservative agenda, how to make a difference in primary elections, and how to hold elected officials accountable.
Confirmed speakers include David and Jason Benham (HGTV stars who lost their show for holding to their biblical views), David Daleiden (Center for Medical Progress leader who was attacked by Planned Parenthood for producing videos against the abortion giant.), and Lt. Gov. Dan Forest (NC).
Chambers said both President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence spoke at the summit spoke last year, and both have been invited to the platform again.
